The Anthropology Department was well represented this year at the 10th Annual Rocky Mountain Pre-Columbian Association Research Colloquium (RMPA) at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science this past Friday, October 10th! Below are the paper presentations from our department (in order of appearance in the program):

Dr. Gerardo Gutiérrez (Professor) presented “Landscape and animacy in the caves of Guerrero, Mexico: Casa de la Lluvia”
Cristian Figueroa (Archaeology Ph.D. Student) presented “Animal Encounters in the Pre-Hispanic Corn Islands, Nicaragua”
