Presenter, 鈥淯niversal Design for Learning Applications in the Spanish Modified Language Program鈥
Dr. Yohainna Abdala-Mesa is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Spanish at the University of Colorado Boulder. She received her doctorate in Latin American Studies at Universit茅 de Toulouse in France. Her research interests include Contemporary Latin American and Latinx Women鈥檚 literature and cultural studies, emphasizing music and the intermedial arts and their relationships with intertextuality, memory, gender, and cultural identity. Her pedagogical approach emphasizes creativity, experiential learning, and community outreach by bringing everyday life into the classroom and fostering critical thinking through lived experience.
