Colorado students, you can apply to the University of Colorado Boulder for free!

We're excited to be part of a statewide initiative encouraging Colorado residents to submit a free application Tuesday, October 7 through Thursday, October 9, 2025.

First-Year Students

All ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ· applicants are required to complete a personal essay and a short-answer question with their Common App. So start early!

 

One

Submit your Common App and Member Questions only Oct 7–9

Although you may work on a draft of your application before October 7 within the Common App, you must submit your application to ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ· only on October 7 through October 9 to receive the Free App Days waiver. Students must submit a completed admissions application between 12:01 a.m. (MDT) on October 7 and 11:59 p.m. (MDT) on October 9.

Select Colorado Free Application Days for your Member Question

Within the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ· Member Questions section, you'll see this required prompt: "Do you intend to use one of these school-specific fee waivers?" In the dropdown, choose Colorado Free Application Days (Colorado residents only). You will then see another required field: "Please provide your University of Colorado Boulder fee waiver code here." Enter FreeAppDaysCO in the field provided.

Apply only October 7–9

Submit your complete transfer application between 12:01 a.m. (MDT) Tuesday, October 7 and 11:59 p.m. (MDT) Thursday, October 9 and your application fee will be automatically waived. No waiver code needed.
