7th Annual Children's Book Festival:��November 8, 2025, at Boulder Public Library

The ��ý�Ļ��Ʒ��School of Education and the Boulder Bookstore invite teachers, students, families, librarians, and all who enjoy children’s literature to join us for the 2025 Children's Book Festival.

The CU Children's Book Festival is supported by a grant from the CU Office for Public and Community Engaged Scholarship (PACES)

Saturday, November 8: In-person event at the Boulder Public Library

�� |��10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Free in-person event open to the public with author talks, a panel for educators, book sales and signing, children’s activities and more.
Sessions catered to different ages with audience Q&A.
Authors and illustrators��will share their new books and talk about their creative process and influences.
Free educational resources��will be available for teachers and librarians.
Free parking will be available in the Library's parking lots (: Lots 95405 & 95406)

10:00 – 10:10 a.m.	Doors open (Enter through the north side of the library, near Canyon Blvd.)
10:10 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.	Event Welcome (Canyon Theater)
10:15 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.	Author/Illustrator Session Salina Yoon �ڱ𲹳ٳܰ��Բ� I Like Cheese! Followed by book sales and signing for 15 minutes (Canyon Theater)
11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.	Author Session Nyasha Williams featuring Once Upon a Kwanzaa Followed by book sales and signing for 15 minutes (Canyon Theater)
11:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.	Author Session Denise Vega featuring Adela's Mariachi Band (Los mariachis de Adela) Followed by book sales and signing for 15 minutes (Canyon Theater)
12:30 – 1:30 p.m.	Book Signing 12:30 – 1:00 p.m. \| Picturebook authors 1:00 – 1:30 p.m. \| Chapter book authors�� Children's Activities Small group activities (led by CU students) Library scavenger hunt (led by library staff) Book donation space Local exhibitors (Canyon Theater)
1:35 – 2:30 p.m.	Panel for Educators & Librarians: The Importance of Contemporary Children's Literature in Today's Schools and Libraries Meanwhile, children and families can get lunch, do the library scavenger hunt, and explore the library and surrounding area!
2:45 – 3:15 p.m.	Author Session Pam Muñoz Ryan featuring El Niño Followed by book sales and signing for 15 minutes (Canyon Theater)
3:30 – 4:00 p.m.	Author/Illustrator Session Rita Williams-Garcia and Sharee Miller featuring Once Crazy Summer: The Graphic Novel Book sales and signing for this session will start after the festival closes at 4:05 p.m. (Canyon Theater)
4:00 – 4:05 p.m.	Festival Closing

Friday, November 7: Authors & illustrators visit local schools

Authors and illustrators will visit pre-selected schools in Boulder Valley School District, St. Vrain Valley School District, and other surrounding areas.
Authors and illustrators will share about their books and creative processes to inspire children's reading and writing.
Books will be provided to children and teachers in the partner schools for reading and author signing.
